One of the many perks of being a Member at RLG&CC is the opportunity to participate in Match Play.
This is a really good way to play a game with a fellow member you might, otherwise, never have the opportunity to play. You do NOT have to be a skilled golfer to play in this competition. Because it is based on individual handicaps, the playing field is levelled, allowing you to play no matter what your ability/skill.
Last year’s competitors had a good time. Lots of exciting matches were played right down to the wire, even extra holes to break a tie.
There are four Match Play categories - Mens Match Play, Ladies Match Play, Mixed Match Play and Juniors Match Play.
Note that will be a 16 team limit in the Mixed Match Play category in order to make the scheduling work.

Registration is now closed. Registration deadline wass June 1, 2026.
Starting date for the competitions is June 10.
The co-ordinators will meet the week of June 1 to prepare the ladders for posting prior to the June 10 start date.
At that time you MUST have an up-to-date Golf Canada handicap with a minimum of five, 2026 game scores (90 holes) input into Golf Canada. It is mandatory that participants enter ALL game scores throughout the season in a timely manner.
