Ride Assistant is an Android application designed to help ride-hailing and taxi drivers analyze ride offers, estimate profitability, track driving shifts, calculate operating costs, and review driving analytics.
Ride Assistant does not automatically accept or reject rides and does not control other applications on behalf of the user.
Ride Assistant uses Android’s AccessibilityService API as part of its core OCR functionality.
When explicitly enabled by the user, the Accessibility Service allows Ride Assistant to request Android screenshots while OCR is running.
Ride Assistant crops the screenshot to the OCR area configured by the user and processes that image locally on the device using optical character recognition (OCR).
Ride Assistant does not use the Accessibility Service to:
click buttons;
enter text;
navigate other applications;
accept or reject ride requests;
send messages;
change device settings;
perform autonomous actions on behalf of the user.
Ride Assistant does not retrieve or inspect the accessibility view hierarchy for ride-offer analysis.
Use of the Accessibility Service is optional and must be explicitly enabled by the user in Android settings after an in-app disclosure and affirmative consent.
Ride Assistant uses screenshots only while OCR is running.
OCR may detect information visible inside the user-configured OCR area, including:
ride price;
pickup distance;
pickup time;
trip distance;
trip time;
ride category;
other ride-offer information required for calculations.
This information is used to calculate ride-related metrics such as:
earnings per kilometre;
earnings per hour;
estimated profit;
real hourly earnings;
Ride Score;
other profitability indicators displayed by Ride Assistant.
Screenshots, OCR text, parsed ride offers, ride prices, distances, times, and ride-offer calculations are processed locally on the user’s device and are not uploaded to the Ride Assistant server.
Ride Assistant includes a Shift feature that can store information such as:
shift start time;
shift end time;
pause duration;
vehicle odometer at the beginning and end of the shift;
total kilometres driven;
average fuel or electricity consumption;
total shift earnings.
Shift data is stored locally on the user’s device.
When a shift is completed, Ride Assistant may create a local Analytics record using this information.
Shift data is not uploaded to the Ride Assistant server.
Ride Assistant allows users to store Analytics information such as:
date;
kilometres driven;
earnings;
driving time;
calculated operating costs;
net profit;
notes;
Shift-related information.
Analytics records are stored locally on the user’s device.
Analytics data is not uploaded to the Ride Assistant server.
Ride Assistant allows users to configure operating-cost information such as:
yearly kilometres;
third-party commission percentage;
fuel or electricity unit;
fuel or electricity price;
consumption per 100 km;
vehicle loan or rental cost;
taxes or other fixed monthly costs.
These settings are stored locally on the user’s device and are used to calculate estimated ride profitability and Analytics costs.
Expenses data is not uploaded to the Ride Assistant server.
Ride Assistant includes an Administration feature that allows users to store information such as:
document or obligation name;
start date;
expiry date;
notes.
This information may be used to provide local expiry reminders.
Administration records are stored locally on the user’s device and are not uploaded to the Ride Assistant server.
Ride Assistant uses Google Play Billing for paid subscriptions.
To verify whether the user has an active Ride Assistant subscription, the app may transmit information to the Ride Assistant backend, including:
Google Play purchase token;
a randomly generated Ride Assistant installation identifier;
information required to verify subscription status.
The Ride Assistant backend verifies subscription information using Google Play services.
Subscription-related information may include:
subscription product;
base plan;
subscription state;
subscription expiry time;
automatic renewal status;
acknowledgement status;
Google Play order information;
subscription region;
test-purchase status.
This information is used only for:
subscription verification;
providing paid Ride Assistant access;
entitlement management;
fraud prevention;
technical support;
operation and security of the subscription service.
Ride Assistant does not collect or process payment-card details.
Payments are processed by Google Play.
Ride Assistant generates a random installation identifier for the app installation.
This identifier may be transmitted to the Ride Assistant backend for purposes such as:
subscription verification;
identifying the app installation in backend systems;
fraud prevention;
technical troubleshooting;
support.
The installation identifier is not intended to directly identify the user’s real-world identity.
If the user voluntarily sends feedback or a support request through Ride Assistant, the app may transmit:
feedback category;
subject;
message;
optional reply email address;
Ride Assistant installation identifier.
If the user chooses to include app and device information, the feedback may also contain:
Ride Assistant app version;
Android version;
device manufacturer;
device model;
device locale.
This information is used to:
respond to support requests;
investigate bugs;
improve Ride Assistant;
maintain the service.
Ride screenshots, OCR text, parsed ride offers, ride prices, Analytics records, Shift records, and financial settings are not automatically included in feedback.
Ride Assistant may use Android notifications for purposes such as:
document-expiry reminders;
subscription-related messages;
Ride Assistant service messages;
other app-related notifications.
Users can manage notification permission through Android settings.
TAXI AUREUM does not sell user data.
Information may be processed by third-party service providers only when necessary to provide Ride Assistant functionality.
This includes Google services such as:
Google Play and Google Play Billing, used for:
subscription purchases;
payment processing;
subscription management;
subscription verification.
Ride Assistant does not share locally processed OCR, ride-offer, Shift, Analytics, Expenses, or Administration data with advertisers.
Information may also be disclosed if required by applicable law or if necessary to protect users, Ride Assistant, or legal rights.
Ride Assistant uses HTTPS for communication with its production backend.
The application is configured to prevent cleartext network traffic.
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information transmitted to Ride Assistant systems against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Locally stored information, including Shift, Analytics, Expenses, Administration data, and application settings, remains on the user’s device until:
the user deletes the relevant information;
the user clears the application’s data;
the application is uninstalled.
Subscription-related backend information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:
provide subscription access;
verify subscription history and entitlement;
prevent fraud;
resolve billing or support issues;
maintain service security;
comply with applicable legal obligations.
Feedback and support messages may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and maintain support records.
Users can delete locally stored records through Ride Assistant where deletion controls are available.
Users may also remove local Ride Assistant data by clearing the application’s data or uninstalling the application.

Ride Assistant is intended for adult professional drivers and is not designed for children.
Ride Assistant does not knowingly target or solicit personal information from children.
Ride Assistant relies on services provided by Google, including:
Android platform services;
Google Play;
Google Play Billing.
These services operate under Google’s own terms and privacy policies.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when:
Ride Assistant functionality changes;
data-processing practices change;
legal requirements change;
Google Play requirements change.
The current version will remain available on this page with an updated effective date.
