Francis Marion Stephenson

Francis Marion Stephenson was born Jan 3, 1841 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Isaac Henderson and Mary Pugh Stephenson. Francis is a Pioneer of Richmond.

History

Soon after Francis was born, his parents were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They moved to Nauvoo, Illinois in 1843, and soon began their efforts to move west. The exact company that the Stephenson family joined is unknown.

In 1862, Francis moved to Richmond where some of his family was living. While there, he met and married Sarah Ann Bright on Nov 30, 1864. In 1878, the Stephenson family moved to Lewiston, Utah.

Member of the City Council (1872 - ?)

Francis M. Stephenson served as a member of the City Council for an unknown number of years. It is possible that he ended his time in the Council in 1874 or 1878 when he moved to Lewiston, Utah.
