Henrietta Rogers was born May 30, 1832 in Shalersville, Ohio to Noah and Eda Hollister Rogers. Henrietta is a Pioneer of Richmond.
Soon after Henrietta was born, the Roger family were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When the Saints moved to Illinois, the Roger family followed. Just before the Roger family moved west to Utah, Henrietta's father died. The Roger family joined the Samuel Gully/Orson Spencer Company on May 28, 1849 and arrived in the Salt Lake Valley on Sep 22, 1849.
While in the Valley, Henrietta began working for the Standage family. Henrietta married Henry Standage on April 16, 1851 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Standage family moved between 1852-1856 from Springville, Utah, to Ogden, Utah. In 1857, the Standage family moved to Brigham City, Utah.
In 1860, the Standage family were called by the Church to settle in Richmond.
"Henrietta helped to fight the grasshoppers and crickets and worked outside raising garden stuff. She picked, washed, corded and spun what wool she could get. She wove all kinds of jeans for the men and blankets for their beds; flannel and lindsay for dresses, knit all their stockings and went through many trials and hardships up there besides the trouble with the Indians. Just before Orpha was born an Indian drew his gun on Henrietta and gave her another scare."
In 1880, the Standage family moved to Arizona. Henrietta Rogers died Oct 11, 1898 in Mesa, Arizona. She was buried in the Mesa Cemetery.
