"As time passes, lives change. Frank was told by his doctor that he was afflicted with diabetes; he was very ill at times. Day after day, he would sit in the rocking chair for hours. The boys would harness up the fine looking team of black horses, named Tip and Tot, to the surrey and take him for a ride. Some times he was too ill to go. One Sunday he went to F.G. and Bertha's for dinner. When he left to go home he said, "This will be the last time I will come here". During the week they were trying to get him up and he said, "If no one can do anything for me, just lay me back on the bed and I give up". And so he did."
Franklin Gregson Robinson died May 19, 1910 in Richmond. He was buried in the Richmond Cemetery.
