Anna Regina Svensdotter was born Nov 26, 1837 in Balkeryd, Sweden to Sen Jacobsson and Ingrierd Samuelsson. Anna is a Pioneer of Richmond.
The early history of Anna is unknown.
According to family histories, on an unknown date, Anna and her older sister Christena were converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During their early conversion, the sisters were persecuted and fled to Copenhagen, Denmark to find peace. This is what family histories state. According to Anna:
"...[Christena] and in company with myself emigrated to Copenhagen, Denmark on the 1st of April, 1859. At that time neither us had heard anything about the Latter-day Saints, but we soon heard it, and on the 30th of April, the same year, we were baptized, and on the 1st day of May we were both confirmed into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She (Christena) was baptized by Elder Olson, and confirmed by Elder Johnson, and emigrated to Utah in 1863..."1
During their time in Denmark, Anna became acquainted with Peter Christian Christensen.
The Svensdotter sisters, along with Peter, began their efforts to move to the United States in 1863. They made their way to Florence, Nebraska Territory joining the John F. Sanders Company on July 6, 1863 and arrived in the Salt Lake Valley on Sep 5. Just before they left Florence, Anna and Peter were married.
The Christensens lived in the Salt Lake Valley until 1868-1869 when they moved to Richmond, where Christena lived. Unfortunately, Peter died in 1869 and was buried in the Ogden, Utah Cemetery. Anna married Stillman Pond on March 28, 1870 as his polygamous wife.
Anna lived in Richmond until 1882, after Stillman's death. Anna Regina Svensdotter died July 9, 1909 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was buried in the Richmond Cemetery
