Rebecca Ann Hoopes was born July 16, 1842 in Nauvoo, Illinois to Warner and Priscilla Gifford Hoopes. Rebecca is a Pioneer of Richmond.
Before Rebecca was born, the Hoopes family was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved to Nauvoo, Illinois to live among the Saints. The early life of Rebecca is unknown.
The Hoopes family moved to St. Joseph, Missouri to make the means to travel west to the Rocky Mountains. They lived there until 1859 when they joined the Redfield and Smith Freight Train Company and arrived in the Salt Lake Valley on Aug 17.
Rebecca married Charles Richmond Lincoln on Feb 26, 1860 in Bountiful, Utah. Their marriage was cut short when Charles died on Dec 11, 1860. Rebecca was pregnant at this time and gave birth to their only child on Dec 31, 1860. Soon after, Rebecca and her newborn daughter Priscilla Jane Lincoln moved to Richmond where her family had settled. While there, she married Matthew Samuel Phelps Fifield on March 20, 1862.
They lived in Richmond until 1863 when the family was called to help settle Bear Lake County, Idaho.
Rebecca Ann Hoopes died June 22, 1899 in Weston, Idaho. She was buried in the Weston Cemetery.
