Jane Gordon was born March 18, 1841 in Forfar, Scotland to John and Isabella Webster Gordon. Jane is a Pioneer of Richmond.
At a young age, Jane's mother died in 1846. In 1849, the Gordon family heard the lessons of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and were baptized the same year. The family stayed in Scotland for many years until April 11, 1859, sailing on the William Tapscott. They arrived in New York City, New York on May 13, 1859. They lived in New York for two years, taking on jobs to support the family and get the money they needed to move west.
The family finally set to move west, joining the Joseph Horn Company in 1861. They reached Utah on Sep 13. The Gordon family moved to Tooele, Utah to settle. Soon after, Jane married James Holiday Durney on Oct 18, 1861 in Salt Lake City, Utah. After staying in Tooele for some time, the family moved to Richmond. While there, James died in 1873. The following year, Jane married Edmund Buckley on Oct 5 in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City, Utah as his third polygamic wife. The family later moved to Franklin, Idaho.
Jane Grant Gordon died Feb 22, 1908 in Franklin, Idaho. She was buried in the Franklin Cemetery.
