Joseph Smith Allen
About
Joseph Smith Allen was born Oct 20, 1863, in Herriman, Utah to Elijah and Eliza Ann Bickmore Allen. He is the youngest of his family and was three years old when his family moved to Richmond.
Richmond Life
Joseph was only three years old when his father died. After the death, Joseph's family moved from Herriman to Richmond to be closer to his father's family. After some years of trial and difficulty, Joseph Smith grew into a man and married Phebe Andersen on Dec 9, 1885, in the Logan Temple.
Joseph Smith owned and operated a large ranch in Weston, Idaho.
Epilogue
After some time, Joseph was called by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to move to California to work for the Church there. He died May 19, 1933, in Santa Ana, California, and was buried in the Richmond cemetery.
