Henry Heber Allen

Henry Heber Allen was born March 11, 1862, in Herriman, Utah to Elijah and Eliza Ann Bickmore Allen. He was four years old when his family moved to Richmond.

Richmond Life

Henry's early life was spent working with his family to provide for each other after the death of his father only a year before Henry's move to Richmond. Henry only had three years of schooling, but was a lead benefactor when it came to the organizing of the Cove ward and community projects such as building roads, canals, fences, and other civil projects. Henry was a farmer for work.

Henry married Elgena Poulsen in Salt Lake City on April 10, 1882. They had 10 children with eight living to adulthood.

Epilogue

Henry moved to Logan in 1920 as his retirement. He continued to serve for the Church of Jesus Christ while in Logan. After suffering from a paralyzing stroke, Henry died in his home on March 26, 1941. He was buried in the Richmond Cemetery.
