Susan Pugh was born Nov 7, 1810 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Daniel and Martha Harris Pugh. Susan is a Pioneer of Richmond.
The early history of Susan is not known. She married John Bright Jr. Aug 18, 1835 in Knoxville, Tennessee. On March 2, 1842, John and Susan were baptized members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1844, the Bright family moved to Nauvoo, Illinois to live with the rest of the Saints. They lived in Nauvoo until 1852 when the family moved west to Utah, joining the Isaac Steward Company, arriving in Alpine, Utah on Sep 15, 1852. The Bright family lived in Alpine until 1860 when her son Gilbert invited his family to settle in Richmond.
Susan Pugh died on Sep 17, 1874 in Richmond. She was buried in the Richmond Cemetery.
