Hannah Wilson was born on Jun 13, 1822 in Salford, England to John and Margaret Bradburn Wilson. Hannah is a Pioneer of Richmond.
Hannah's early life is not recorded. She was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sometime in 1839-1840. Hannah married James Turner Bateman Sep 13, 1841 in Manchester, England. Soon after, Hannah joined the Bateman family to move to the United States to live with the Saints in Illinois. They lived in Nauvoo for a little time before being asked by Church President Joseph Smith to move to Iowa to settle parts of the area near the Mississippi River. While in this process of living in Iowa, James died in 1842. A year later, Hannah married Hyrum Webster Bowman, a widower.
The Bowman family lived in Iowa up until 1853 when they decided to move to Utah. They lived in West Jordan for some years before moving to Richmond in 1864. While there, Hannah had some good encounters with the Native Americans in the area.
Hannah Wilson died Feb 8, 1895 in Richmond. She was buried in the Richmond Cemetery.
