The Cooper Families

The early history of Agrippa is unknown. Agrippa married Martha Kitrel Wrotten on Sep 3, 1832, in Copiah, Mississippi.

Agrippa was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1834. The Cooper gathered with the Saints in 1844 at Nauvoo, Illinois. Agrippa was later called that spring to serve a mission in Mississippi. He shared the gospel and was persecuted.

The Cooper family fled with many of the latter-day saints from Nauvoo after the death of Joseph Smith to Winter Quarters, Iowa. They immigrated to Salt Lake City in 1852.

The Cooper family helped to settle many different homes and counties in the state of Utah. They settled in Tooele County after they arrived in the Salt Lake Valley. They lived in Tooele for two years before moving to Weber County. They later moved two miles south of the area that would become Richmond in July of 1859. After the other families of Early Settlers moved in about two months later and built a fort, the Cooper family moved to Richmond. They lived in Richmond for five years, then moved one last time to Oxford, Idaho.
