Semester Projects

Semester Projects are available as a part of the BS-MS program of IISER, Pune for third and fourth year students during the Spring and Fall semester. Please email me or come and talk to me about working in my lab for a semester project!

Masters Projects

IISER Students

Please write to me or come and talk to me about positions for projects for the final year in my lab.

External Students

Send me an email with your CV if you are interested in our work and have a minimum of 6 months for doing a project.

If you are living outside Pune then please note that we cannot provide accommodation for project students while they are in Pune, unfortunately you will have to make your own arrangements.

I shall give you a set of papers to read and write a short project that may interest you from our work as a part of the application. You can come up with something related or your interest too!

An interview by phone or skype or in person is mandatory for the selection of project students to work in any lab and will be communicated with the student for candidate selection.

Integrated PhD

IISER, Pune has an integrated PhD program since 2011. Please look at the Integrated PhD program website for details on the application procedure and deadlines for this program.

PhD

PhD students are only taken into the IISER, Pune PhD program. The details for this program are available on the website. You are free to contact me if you are interested in this program but we admit students for PhD only if they qualify the criteria for this program as per the institute entrance exam and interview.

Post Doctoral Positions

If you are interested in doing a post doc in the lab, please write to me with your current CV. A statement of interest in the lab work or related work is strongly encouraged. Please go through the lab web page and contact me and I can share reading material on which you can come up with a project. Feel free to come up with an independent research proposal for your post doc related to work done in the lab! There are several ways of funding a post doctoral position at Department of Biotechnology, and Department of Science and Technology, India.
