Many prospective teachers consider the Teacher’s Proficiency Assessment (TPA) an instrument for discrimination and social injustice, which reminds me of the novel To Kill a Mockingbird. However, I have never intended to become neither its victim personification nor a helpless character | 06.22.2024

Let computer literacy permeates the teaching process; so challenging, interesting, and practical lessons be of immediate application in the life of the students.
Have students experience hands-on practice as soon as possible, and encourage and assist them in exploring the lessons beyond the frame of knowledge received.
Show rather than tell, is my philosophy and my constant reminder as a teacher and as an instructor.
As an educator, I am aware that even since the times of Aristotle, 2300 years ago, man has never agreed on what’s the best way to teach or what’s the best way to learn; because what is ignored is sometimes fundamental, and what is fundamental is sometimes trivial.
Essentialism, Progressivism, Perennialism, Existentialism, Behaviorism, and any other "ism," all of them, have a saying on education; but a mix of their recipes is probably the best path for a perfect education.
So let it be. I will have my students learn by heart what I believe is fundamental, but I will also strive to have their minds open to fly far beyond the point where lessons end.

My Quiz Philosophy
embraced from:
the “Basics of Design layout & typography for beginners” by Lisa Graham. p.18
“Before you begin this quiz, let me explain my philosophy about quiz taking.
I whole-heartedly believe in open-books quizzes. In the few classes where
I hand out quizzes, I encourage my students to take the test home, look it
over, reference their textbooks as needed, and to even discuss the
questions with classmates.
The process of reading, reviewing, and discussing the concepts helps to
clarify the ideas to the students in my classes. I‘ve found that they are
more likely to retain the information in open-book tests than if they were
to cram at the last minute for a closed-book quiz.
So feel free to thumb through the text to find answers to these questions
or go ahead and jump to the back of the book to the Answer key.
Use whatever technique you find most useful.”
