********STRICTLY NO WALK-IN REGISTRATION*********
***NO FACE MASK, NO FACE SHIELD, NO ID, NO VACCINE***
*****NO ONLINE REGISTRATION NO VACCINE*****
*****NO APPOINTMENT, NO VACCINE*****
****NO CELLPHONE NUMBER in the REGISTRATION LINK, NO VACCINE SCHEDULE****
Since 1983, the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial was instituted to be celebrated every 3rd Sunday of May. This commemoration is aimed to remember those who died from AIDS-related illnesses, to show support to People Living with HIV (PLHIV), and to demonstrate the importance of civil society for HIV prevention, treatment, care and support.
Though can be commemorated in the whole month of May in Central Luzon, in the light of the current pandemics of HIV and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), to show support and solidarity in actions taken to prevention and control, protection of human rights, and preservation of life, this year’s theme is, “WE REMEMBER. WE TAKE ACTION.WE LIVE BEYOND HIV. WE SUPPORT HIV AND COVID-19 WARRIORS”.
Hence, recognizing you as one of our active partners, we would like to solicit your support in the conduct of the following recommended activities applicable to your area/institution, considering minimum public health standards:
• Posting of online social media card (prototype as attached) to your local social media pages;
• Conduct of local ceremonial candlelighting (facility-based or on-line) activity;
• Share stories of hope, love, and inspiration from our People living with HIV (PLHIV) and COVID-19 Positive Individuals;
• Conduct of online HIV awareness events and stigma-reduction activities;
• Post activity pictures and documentation to the program’s Facebook Group: DOH-Region 3 AIDS, STIs & Viral Hepatitis Prevention and Control Program (Click Here.) and
• Strategize conduct of other innovative and creative activities and interventions
