Scholarships

It is our mission to provide scholarships to our youth to help them reach their dreams. Nelson Mandela said: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

The 2024 scholarships available through RHSAAA are:

1. General Scholarship (must be a RHS senior)

2. Louise J. Williams Memorial Scholarship (must be a current or prior graduate of RHS, Union Catholic High School or Benedictine Academy)

3. Andrew & Frances Bryant Memorial Scholarship (must be a RHS senior planning to attend an HBCU or a prior RHS graduate attending an HBCU)

4. Willie & Lillian Thorpe Memorial Scholarship (must be a RHS senior planning to attend a vocational/trade school)

5. Courtney W. Clarke Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is for Rahway High School seniors, from the African American community, who may not be on the High Honors Roll but have done work within the community and whose goals are to provide community services/involvement.

6. David & Emma Holmes Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is for Rahway High School seniors, from the African American community, who will pursue their career goals in the fields for "Essential Workers" (Healthcare, Social Work and Teachers).
