K-12 Computer Science education was the other key recommendation from Brookings. Rhode Island listened!
RI implemented CS4RI … and yes, Newport participated. A handful of teachers received training in the kid-friendly, block-programming language SCRATCH and implemented it for a short time within Pell. It languished, but CS4RI has re-started in RI.
