For the 2019-2020 school year, students in the 10th grade will take the SBAC Mathematics test which is administered in the spring. Information regarding the test can be found at SBAC Students and Families
To help prepare students for the types and format of questions that will be asked during the mathematics test, we recommend that students complete both the HS-Math Practice Test and the HS-Math Performance Task offered through the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium: https://wa.portal.airast.org/users/students-and-families
To get started, proceed as follows:
1) Click on Practice and Training Tests
2) Click on Take the Practice and Training Tests
3) Select “ON” for Guest User and Guest Session, then click on Sign In
4) Select student grade: 10th
5) Click YES
6) Choose the (yellow) 11th Grade – Math Practice Test
7) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click SELECT to accept defaults
8) Review test instructions and then click Begin Test Now. You may use scratch paper and graph paper while taking the test, however, only use the calculator provided within the test (a calculator icon will be visible in the upper right hand corner of the test for questions that a calculator is allowed).
Once you have completed the Practice Test, repeat these instructions to take the Performance Task.
