The purpose of the Friends of the Reuben Hoar Library is to assist the library by providing equipment for the library, sponsoring educational programs such as the Summer and Winter Reading Programs, providing Museum Passes and the Museum Pass Reservation System for library patrons.
Save the date - you don't want to miss this wildly popular fundraiser! Yes, we really do set up an 18-hole mini-golf course running throughout the library! On Friday evening, March 20, we'll hold a ticketed event with unlimited golf, music, appetizers, Sal's pizzas, beverages from Dirigible Brewing, and a silent auction! More info coming soon!
On Saturday, March 21, bring the whole family as we open the course to everyone for $5/round. Take a break to have a cookie with some great coffee from Little Town Coffee!
We are currently looking for sponsors and donations of items for our silent auction. Email ReubenHoarLibraryFriends@gmail.com if you'd like to become a donor!
Your membership helps us to fund summer reading, museum passes, and more. Is this the year you are able to increase your membership level? Does the company you work for offer a matching donation? Are you in a position to make a more generous donation? We try to use our money so that every age group benefits.
In 2025, thanks to the generosity of members, the Friends funded:
$6,000 for snacks for the Young Adult room.
Over $23,500 in programming, including Winter and Summer Reading for children, teens, and adults.
Access to museum passes, with over $8,600 spent to provide enriching experiences for families and individuals.
More than $6,000 to supply the popular coffee cart, enhancing the library experience for visitors of all ages.
