Aura: Personal Makeup Stylist ("Aura", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "Application").
1. FACE DATA & TRUEDEPTH API DISCLOSURE To provide our core Augmented Reality (AR) features, Aura uses the device's camera and Apple's TrueDepth API.
Data Collected: We collect data regarding the positioning, orientation, and topology of your facial features (eyes, nose, mouth, and face mesh).
Purpose of Collection: This data is used solely to anchor virtual makeup products and effects to your face in real-time. It enables the "Virtual Try-On" feature.
No Third-Party Sharing: Face Data collected via the TrueDepth API is never shared with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
No Storage: This data is processed in real-time on your device's memory. We do not store TrueDepth Face Data on our servers. It is discarded immediately when you close the camera feature.
2. IMAGE ANALYSIS & AI PROCESSING Aura allows you to upload or capture 2D photos for "Style Analysis" and "Makeup Recommendations."
Cloud Processing: When you submit a photo for analysis, the image is transmitted securely to our cloud AI provider, Google Gemini, via Firebase.
Usage: These images are analyzed to identify skin tone, face shape, and features to generate personalized recommendations.
Data Retention: Images uploaded for analysis are processed transiently. They are not used by us to train public AI models and are not permanently stored after the analysis is delivered.
3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect includes:
Device Data: Information such as your mobile device ID, model, operating system version, and IP address.
Usage Data: Anonymous analytics regarding how you interact with the Application (e.g., features used, session duration) to help us improve the user experience.
4. USE OF YOUR INFORMATION Having accurate information permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we use information collected to:
Generate personal makeup and style recommendations.
Improve the accuracy of our AI algorithms.
Respond to customer service requests.
Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve the Application.
5. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:
Service Providers: We may share your data with third-party vendors (such as Google Firebase) who perform services for us, including data hosting and AI processing. They are obligated to protect your data.

While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
7. POLICY FOR CHILDREN We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
