Dear parents, we hope that the additional resources and information in this section will be beneficial as you engage your child at home! 😊
We understand that kids can sometimes be afraid or dislike coming to Sunday Kids Classes, especially the younger ones!
Therefore, we hope that some of these tips would help you prepare them and get them ready to join us on Sundays:
Be familiar with the Kids Classes age and class segregation, as well as the check-in and pick-up processes.
Assure them there will be fun in learning, activities and play with their friends and teachers.Â
After the class, get to know their friends and parents of other kids too!
For older kids, as they join the congregation for worship, use the Sunday Bulletin (updated weekly) to get them familiar with the songs. Bulletin is available on the main page of the RHC website.
Book on Family Discipleship
Parents would all acknowledge that Family Discipleship is easier said than done. We are already trying to survive the day, busyness at work, tired from the housework and yet we still need to engage our children who are usually more excited in play than sitting down.Â
It is never easy, but we are always reminded of how children are gifts given by our good heavenly Father! Therefore, despite the challenges, we know we are given the privilege to parent and grow our children to know Jesus.Â
The book 'Family Discipleship' gives a framework of how we can start introducing Family Discipleship. Not just tips, but also reminders on how we turn to our Father to guide us in being godly parents to our children.Â
We recommend parents to use this book as a resource to guide you through Family Discipleship in the year.
Please order your copy early from SKS or other online book retailers.Â
