Welcome, Class of 2024!
Feel free to use the resources below to help you continue your College & Career Journey!
College Readiness Checklist:
Use this document as a guide to help you stay on track for post-secondary activities.
Remember, you can make an appointment with Mrs. Parsons to help you set goals, discover interests, or discuss post-secondary options.
Grad Requirements Checklists
Use this sheet to help you check off which graduation requirements you have already met and which ones you still need to complete. You can see the classes you've taken by logging into the Student Portal of Focus and clicking on "GRAD."
Please be aware that a few courses are not counting in the correct categories. For example, Computer Science shows up as meeting a Math requirement, however, it should actually appear as an elective.
Be sure to meet with Mrs. Parsons to double-check that all courses have been counted in the correct category.
College Board & Big Future
College Board has a wealth of information that can help you throughout your high school career. Yes, it is the place you go to for PSAT, AP, and SAT scores, but they have also added a section call BigFuture that is very robust. BigFuture can help you figure out your areas of interest to help you decide on a career, explore careers, find out what level of education is needed for each career, search trade school, colleges, and universities, apply for scholarships, and even practice for the SAT. PLUS, they have their own scholarship opportunities that award $500 and $40,000 scholarships to students each month just for doing simple tasks that you already need to do within the BigFuture platform!
Create a College Board account (if you haven't already), write down or store your username/password in a secure location or in your phone, and start taking advantage of all that BigFuture has to offer!
