Did you know that the Driver's Education course provides several benefits for you - and even your family?

Requirements & Information:

  • The course is free.

  • You must have parent/guardian permission.

  • You must be at least 14.5 years old to register.

  • You can work at your own pace, but you will need to login at least 14 days from your first assignment.

  • Typical students complete the course in 4-6 weeks working approximately 2-3 hours per week.

  • You can sign up to take the Driver's Ed course through Florida Virtual School (FLVS).

    • Choose Mrs. Parsons as your counselor.

  • Once you sign up, Mrs. Parsons will have to verify the course before you will be able to access it. Please email her once you have registered so she can approve it in FLVS.

  • Once you have finished the course, ask your parents to contact their insurance company and let them know that you've taken the course - many insurance companies will offer a discount for students who have successfully completed it.

Benefits:

  • You earn your TLSAE Certificate (Traffic Law & Substance Abuse Education training)

  • You can take the Class E online driver's exam FREE if you are at least 15 years old.

  • Helps you meet the online course requirement for graduation.

  • Helps you learn how to be a safe and conscientious driver.

  • Most car insurance companies will give you/your parents a small discount when they insure you on their policy!
