Rowel Jiménez II is an honors senior in Television, Radio, and Film at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. A writer and producer first, he crafts stories across horror, mystery, science fiction, and comedy—often finding the intersection where genre and subversion meet. His work includes short films, audio dramas, satirical news television, documentary-style interviews, and written narratives ranging from short stories to a full ten-episode television pilot.

Drawing from influences as varied as Atlanta, Columbo, The Cornetto Trilogy, and Christine, Jiménez balances character-driven storytelling with tonal range—moving between dread, wit, and sincerity. Whether working independently or as a collaborative producer and editor, he prioritizes narrative foundation, stylistic commitment, and the willingness to undercut familiar tropes. His portfolio reflects an emerging artist who treats genre not as a constraint but as a framework for exploring identity, failure, community, and the strange shape of growing up.
