Biography

Osvaldo Reyes Rodriguez has undertaken a significant journey in his development as an artist. Born in Mexico City and moving to Texas at a young age, his artistic path began when his mother recognized his creative abilities. He participated in various elementary art competitions, which fueled his passion for art. In high school, he expanded his skills through courses in painting, ceramics, and sculpture, discovering that his emotions and personal experiences greatly influenced his work.

 After graduating, Osvaldo pursued an Associate of Arts degree at Dallas College, graduated in May 2025. His college experience has deepened his understanding of art fundamentals and historical context, allowing him to enhance his techniques, moving from acrylics to oil paints. His piece "Rebirth" was featured in the Dallas College Student Fall Exhibition 2024, embodying the theme of growth through adversity. Influenced by impressionist painters like Vincent Van Gogh, Osvaldo continues to explore diverse techniques and materials.

 Looking ahead, he aims to obtain a bachelor's degree in art education and become an art educator and college art professor, inspired by the support he has received from his mentors. Osvaldo believes that success is attainable through dedication and a genuine passion for art.
