No one knows where the first arcanist came from. They once flourished, but not anymore.

In this world, science and Arcanum coexist, dividing people into two races: Mankind and Arcanists. Magic, divination, and alchemy... are no longer baseless rumors. If one cannot protect oneself with Arcanum, they will be eroded by the "Storm" along with the era, disappearing without a trace.

The St. Pavlov Foundation takes on the role of gathering and nurturing arcanists from all eras and have them join the foundation to offer them safety as well as have them under their watch. Most arcanists are gathered upon childhood and raised and trained within the foundation, but in case of unregistered Arcanists who grow up among society, they are recruited as they are discovered.

As Arcanists are people with the ability to use magic, they are not limited to just humans and can include non-humanoid beings such as APPLe, Pickles, Sputnik and more.

Arcanists are generally classified into 2 categories, Pure Blood or Mixed. Currently the only playable Arcanists who are classified as Mixed are Satsuki, Jiu Niangzi and Pavia. Inside the UTTU, they are instead classified into 5: Beyond, Awakened, Arcanists (Pure Blood), Mixed, and Infected. As well as non-Arcanists classified as Human with the addition of Ezra Theodore.
