Natufian el-Wad Terrace

Excavating and studying the rich Natufian habitations of el-Wad Terrace (Mount Carmel, Israel), which include the most detailed Early Natufian sequence currently available for study. 

Our current goal in the ISF-funded project is to explore how the unique Early Natufian adaptation to sedentism emerged ca. 15,000 years ago, its environmental background, and how it unfolded through time.
