Reunite stores everything you type on your device only. We do not run a server that holds your data. Specifically, the app keeps the following on the device, in a local database that no third party can read:
Your nickname and the nickname of the person you are reuniting with, taken in onboarding.
Relationship duration and stated intention from onboarding.
No-contact streak (the date you started, and a counter for resets).
Journal entries, mood logs, and glow-up checklist state that you create.
Subscription / trial state for the in-app paywall (mirrored from Google Play).
You can wipe all of this at any time from Settings→Delete my data.
Reunite transmits the following data off-device:
Anonymous usage analytics, collected via Firebase Analytics (a Google service). We record how the app is used (for example, which screens are visited, how long sessions last, and which features are used) to improve the experience. These events are tied to a random identifier generated for each app installation, not to your name or email, and they never contain anything you type into the app. The app does not collect or use your Android advertising ID. Choosing Delete my data in Settings also resets that identifier on your device, so earlier analytics can no longer be connected to it. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings > Your data > Share usage analytics.
Crash reports, collected via Firebase Crashlytics (a Google service). When the app crashes, a report with technical details (the error, device model, Android version and app version) is sent so we can fix the bug. Crash reports are always on and cannot be turned off in the app. They never include your name, your ex's name, journal entries, letters or anything else you type.

Subscriptions are managed by Google Play. We never see your card number or your billing address. Manage or cancel at any time at https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions .
After a 7-day free trial, the price you saw on the paywall will be charged on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, or yearly, depending on the plan you chose). The Lifetime plan is a one-time payment. Cancel at least 24 hours before a renewal date to avoid the next charge. Google does not issue partial refunds for unused periods.
Reunite is intended for users 18 and older. It is not directed at children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the relevant local copy of any data we are aware of (note that since data is on-device, the device owner generally controls deletion themselves through Settings→Delete my data).
The app is not a crisis service and is not a substitute for therapy. If you are in crisis, please call or text 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or visit https://findahelpline.com to find a service in your country.
You can:
Delete all your data: Settings → Delete my data.
Cancel your subscription: Google Play subscription page.
Request a copy of any data we hold. For an on-device-only app, the answer is "everything you typed, in the app's local database, which you can wipe yourself", but if you would like a more formal response, email us.
If you live in the EU/UK (GDPR), California (CCPA), or another region with similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data, and to object to processing. Email us to exercise any of these rights.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the Last updated date and, for material changes, prompt you in-app the next time you open Settings.
