The cats that inhabit this forest are organized into four new clans; Blazeclan, Cloudclan, Lakeclan, and Lunarclan. While their lifestyle and hierarchy is virtually identical to how to their ancestors once lived, they base their lives around an improved warrior code, and do not rely as heavily on their ancestors to guide them.

The Improved Warrior Code

1. The leader may be the final authority, but they may not disregard a cat's right to freedom of speech

2. No cat is to be discriminated against based on background or ability

3. In times of hunger, a clan may hunt in another clan's territory as long as they get permission from the leader of the territory. This permission shall expire after three sunrises.

4. The clans can wish to call on each other in times of danger.

5. A cat may have relationships with cats from other clans, but may not live with a paw in two clans. Loyalty to the clan must always be considered first.

7. No cat shall neglect a kit in need or distress, regardless of clan.

8. A clan can can choose the life of a kittypet, but cannot have both lifestyles.

9. Prey is killed only to be eaten, and must be respectfully buried afterwards.

10. A warrior does not kill unless it is imperative that they do so. 

​11. The clans may gather together once a moon for a night of truce. A leader may take four cats of their choosing with them, but no more than that.

12. In order to become deputy, a warrior must have mentored at least one apprentice.

13. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats—but a warrior must always remember that all cats follow the warrior code.

14. All warriors must be trained in hunting and fighting

The Improved Medicine Cat Code

1. A medicine cat is neutral, and may not neglect any cat in need.

2. A medicine cat can choose to have a mate and kits as long as the clan has a medicine cat apprentice or nursemaid.

3. A medicine cat should also be trained in hunting and fighting

4. Once a moon, all medicine cats shall gather to consult Starclan for one single night. There shall be no fighting between the clans during this time.

5. A medicine cat can choose to become a warrior instead as long as they have a replacement.
