Kindergarten teacher and 2019 CUE BOLD teacher of the year Ben Cogswell is going to share his go-to strategies and awesome mindset of blending amazing pedagogy with easy to access edtech in his @KindRockets classroom. Ben was quoted in the NY Times and his SeeSaw lessons have over 850k views.

Founder and “Lead Learner” of the Learning Laboratory New Orleans, Tinashe Blanchet shares her story about how she made the transition from being a traditional classroom teacher to a facilitator of innovative, engaging learning experiences for students and teachers. Participants will learn 3 concrete steps that they can take to transform their classrooms from “sit and “get” spaces to exciting incubators for student learning and creation.

Learn and apply the basic principles of graphic design to create learning experiences that promote diversity, creativity, critical thinking, as well as problem solving and visual communication skills.

Connecting history to current events allows us to evaluate the decisions of our past and how they influence our present. There is no better way to do this than with primary sources! Come discuss ways to teach historical events with a cultural relevant lens!
