Dr.Rachell is a former high school science teacher. She turned her science transition into teaching coach, professional learning coach, educational technology specialist, and most recently a digital learning specialist (whew!), Natasha believes in empowering other passionate educators to transform their teaching practices through the integration of technology! Doing so should not be "something else" an educator HAS to do, but rather an enhancement to the amazing teaching and learning that is already taking place in their classroom! She stresses the importance of viewing the technology tool simply as the vehicle to deliver the content! She believes that classrooms should be engaging environments that allow for students to take risks, while being prepared to collaborate, communicate, think critically and be creative. Natasha takes pride in seeing the lightbulb go off during her technology trainings as educators discover and explore the "special sauce" that will transform their teaching practices!

Alexes M. Terry

Alexes M. Terry is the founder and lead Instructional Success Consultant with TwistED Teaching Educational Consulting. As a native of Los Angeles, her experiences growing up in a community and attending schools negatively affected by gang-violence, drug abuse, and poor teaching, inspired Alexes to enter the field of Education after receiving a graduate degree in History from Louisiana Tech University. A professional educator with 10 years of experience teaching, coaching, mentoring, and leading educators, Alexes realized that there was a severe deficit in Education when it came to quality mentorship programs and instructional support for classroom educators who work with students in urban schools and communities. A graduate of Texas A&M University, where she received a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in Urban Education, Alexes decided that it was time to stop talking about transforming teaching and learning in urban schools and begin doing her part by partnering with teachers and schools in the Dallas-FortWorth area and throughout the state of Texas. Through workshops, professional developments and, most importantly, teacher mentoring, Alexes uses the theories of Culturally ResponsiveTeaching, Reality Pedagogy, and Data Driven Instruction to support educators in their journey to transform urban classrooms and schools. Her teaching style is based on years of researching pedagogical approaches, strategies and best practices most effective to meeting the needs of a diverse student population. She uses her educational background and professional experiences to support educators in creating a unique learning environment and opportunities for learning that are hands-on, engaging, relevant, and standard-based. Alexes M. Terry believes that coaching teachers to success is more than just a profession or a passion, it is her ministry. Through TwistED Teaching, her overall goal is changing the lives of students by empowering teachers and "twisting" the way teaching and learning happens in urban schools.
