Let us take care of your special day

Imagine walking down the aisle in our beautiful, historic sanctuary constructed in 1937 in the “Christopher Wren” architectural style. It seats 300 people and features soaring pillars and elegant granite and marble stonework in the narthex as you enter the church. The church also boasts the largest pure pipe organ between Chicago and Salt Lake City. With 6,000 pipes, our 126 rank Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ is among the largest instruments in the United States. Downstairs finds Miller Hall, a banquet hall that can seat up to 225 people, complete with a stage for your band or DJ. And throughout our whole building finds architecture that celebrates love without imposing religious imagery.

Experienced ministerial staff is available to perform wedding/commitment ceremonies and assist with planning, or you may choose your own officiant. If you would like to use the minister of First Baptist as an officiant, please contact us in advance.

Our organist may be scheduled to play for your wedding and a grand piano also is available.

**FBCD has talented coordinators that can make your day extra special. This includes up to 16 hours of coordination, which includes all time on the day of your wedding. If you need extra time with your coordinator, please contact us.

A-La-Carte Options & Additional Fees

Linens: $350

Wedding Coordinator: $400
Includes up to 16 hours of work which includes all time during the day of the ceremony.

Setup & Decoration Time: $300
If you need additional time to setup decorations either in the sanctuary or in the reception area, this fee will be assessed and includes 2 hours of setup time in the building. Our staff will help you make sure your decorations are compatible with our historic building.

Second Preparation Room (if available): $75/hr
Cleaning Fee for Second Preparation Room: $35
FBCD Minister: $350
Use of Organ & Organist*: $250
Removal of personal items: $50
Overtime Fee**: $75/hr

*Organ Use - The current FBCD staff organist has the right of first refusal to play for any event requesting the organ.

**Overtime Fee: If your event goes over any of the maximum time limits allowed, a fee of $50 per additional hour used will be assessed.

Payment Schedule:

Reservation Deposit - $200 non-refundable deposit due at scheduling, to secure location and date. This deposit does contribute to your final balance.

Damage Deposit - $200 refundable deposit held for damages to our building during the event. If no damages are found following the event, this deposit will be returned.

Base Fee Balance – Full balance of the building rental fees are due no later than 60 days prior to the event. All other fees that are paid directly to service providers (e.g. Clergy, Organist, Audio, Coordinator) are due at the rehearsal.
