ResumUp (“ResumUp”, the “App”) is provided by Kalestial Teknoloji Limited Şirketi. (“Kalestial”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use ResumUp.
ResumUp allows you to create and manage resumes containing information such as:
Name and professional title
Email address and phone number
Location
Profile photo, if you choose to add one
Work experience
Education
Skills
Languages
Projects
Certifications
Awards and honors
Other information you choose to include in your resume
Your resumes and resume-related data are stored locally on your device.
We do not operate a cloud account system for storing your resumes.
Resume Progress is calculated locally on your device based on the completion of the resume sections you choose to use.
Resume Progress does not require an AI request and does not send your resume to our servers.
Resume Progress is intended to show completion progress. It is not a guarantee of resume quality, employability, or job-search success.
ResumUp includes an optional AI Job Matching feature.
When you use AI Job Matching, the information required to perform the analysis may include:
Resume content selected from a resume created in ResumUp;
A PDF resume that you choose to upload; and
A job description that you provide.
This information is transmitted securely to our backend and then processed through OpenAI’s API to generate job-match analysis and suggestions.
We do not use your resume content to train our own AI models.
Our backend is designed to process resume content, uploaded PDFs, job descriptions, and AI responses temporarily for the purpose of completing your request. We do not intentionally maintain a permanent server-side archive of this content.
OpenAI is a separate service provider and applies its own data-processing and retention practices. OpenAI currently states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default. Under standard API controls, certain customer content may be retained in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days unless different approved data-retention controls apply.
AI-generated suggestions may contain errors. You should review all generated content before using it in a resume or job application.
PDF resumes uploaded through AI Job Matching are used only for the requested analysis.
Uploading a PDF does not:
Import the PDF into My Resumes;
Convert it into an editable ResumUp resume; or
Automatically store it as a resume in the App.
The PDF may be processed temporarily by our backend and AI service provider to perform the requested analysis.
Successful Job Match results may be stored locally on your device so that you can view previous analyses without performing another AI request.
Job Match History is not used to create a cloud resume archive.
Deleting the App will generally remove locally stored ResumUp data from the device, subject to normal operating-system backup and restoration behavior.
ResumUp uses Apple’s In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat to manage subscription access and purchase status.
RevenueCat may process information such as:
An App User ID or anonymous identifier;
Purchase and subscription information;
Subscription entitlement status; and
Information necessary to process and restore purchases.
ResumUp does not require you to provide RevenueCat with your resume content.
RevenueCat supports automatically generated anonymous App User IDs when an app does not provide its own logged-in user identifier.
Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your full payment-card information.
We may process limited technical information necessary to operate and protect the service, such as:
Pseudonymous installation or session identifiers;
Request status and timestamps;
Basic network and security information;
Subscription access status; and
Error or diagnostic information that does not intentionally contain resume content.
We do not intentionally include resume text, uploaded PDF contents, or job descriptions in ordinary application logs.
Information processed through ResumUp is used to:
Provide resume creation and editing features;
Generate PDF resumes;
Provide AI Job Matching when requested;
Provide AI-powered resume suggestions;
Create tailored resume copies when requested;
Verify Pro subscription access;
Restore purchases;
Maintain security and prevent misuse;
Diagnose technical problems; and
Operate and improve the App.
We do not sell your resume content or personal information to advertisers.
We do not use resume content for targeted advertising.
ResumUp relies on third-party services where necessary to provide specific functionality, including:
Apple — App distribution, In-App Purchases, subscriptions, and payment processing.
RevenueCat — Subscription and entitlement management.
OpenAI — AI processing for features such as Job Matching and AI suggestions.
These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Resume data created in ResumUp is primarily stored locally on your device and remains there until you remove the relevant data or delete the App.
Resume/PDF/job-description content processed by our backend for AI Job Matching is not intended to be persistently stored by us after processing is completed.
Limited technical or security-related information may be retained where reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and protect the service.
Third-party service providers may retain information according to their own retention policies.
Because ResumUp does not currently require a user account, we do not maintain a cloud account containing your resume library.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed through ResumUp.
AI Job Matching communications with our production backend use encrypted HTTPS connections.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
Where required, applicable safeguards and data-protection requirements apply to such processing.
ResumUp is not designed specifically for children. Users must satisfy any age and consent requirements applicable in their country when using the App and its paid or AI-powered services.
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may provide rights relating to personal data, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or information regarding processing.
Because most resume data is stored locally, you can control much of that information directly through the App or by removing the App from your device.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to ResumUp, our service providers, or legal requirements.
The updated Privacy Policy will display a revised effective date.
