Tistou is a French chef from French Brittany who settled in Brașov in 2017. In 2025, he opened Resto', a small family-run business. There, he serves up the flavors of his childhood, blending them with local delicacies such as zacusca and meat in jars, using time-honored French and Romanian recipes.
Born in Nantes, Tistou has been drawn to cooking since he was a child. He often accompanied his mother while she prepared meals. He became not only a connoisseur but also a skilled amateur cook.
After a career in the social sector, he pursued a CAP Cuisine certification and worked in restaurants across France.
Enamored with Romania and Brașov, Tistou settled in Brașov with the family he started. He loves nature, stuffed cabbage rolls with hot peppers, soups, and the band Roa (in no particular order)!
After working for five years as a chef in a restaurant in downtown Brașov, he’s now on his own.
We look forward to seeing you at Resto'!
