We are a UK-wide network of university students working together to deliver life-saving CPR education in schools and local communities. Our aim is to equip young people and the public with the skills and confidence to act in a cardiac arrest.

National Student Lead
Alastair MacKinnon is the National Student Lead for Restart a Heart and a second-year graduate medical student at the University of Southampton. With a background in mechanical engineering and four years of frontline experience in the NHS ambulance service, he brings a unique combination of technical insight and pre-hospital clinical experience to the initiative. Alastair is passionate about empowering students to deliver high-quality CPR education and strengthen links between universities and their local communities.
