Ipshita Bhattacharjee's Blog:
A weekend spent with Gouri Shankar Mukherjee, the artist who celebrates life with Ananda - not to be mistaken with rapture; it is where life's true purpose comes to being. I was more than drawn into the outstanding canvas of colors and characters...a beautiful, beautiful blend of nature, duality and a joy that surpasses all understanding. For those of you who might wonder, here is a story of an artist who inspires us on a daily basis to just let go and paint the canvas beyond convention. I was mersmerized seeing the intricacies of the art work. Each layer was depicted to evoke what perhaps the third eye would interpret. Looking forward to find in myself that switch between the right brain (all three dimensions of sensitivity, aesthetics and creativity) and left brain (rational mind asks too many questions...arrrgh). In case you are interested to witness the artist's fascinating art work, keep an eye on my posts.

"Duality" is profound and subjective but when the artist gracefully respects it's existence, his ninja strokes mesmerise his connoisseurs' feelings and awareness.
Artist Gouri Shankar Mukherjee 's breath taking pieces speak volumes of different consciousness each time you come back to them. It was a beautiful experience n time spent on a Saturday evening on the premises of Indian Habitat Center.
Thank you Gourida, Boudi n Arushi your warmth made the evening even more special for us all.
It was wonderful to meet and know you Arushi...!

“Gouri also makes a conscious effort” as Satya Narayanan R writes, “to affect the next generation through his positive thoughts and artistic expertise. In my own estimation, that is the most visible mark we leave when we are gone. Our impact lasts a wee-bit longer when children of today pick a thing or two and perpetuate the goodness of it in their own lives and in the world around them. I am sure Gouri's mentoring of these children will multiply the goodness in its own infinitesimal way.”
At present he practices two visual learning pedagogies with learners: 1 - Learning to see, and
2 - Reflecting your soul.
