They can help you find information and resources on questions like temporary shelter, crisis intervention, alcohol and substance misuse, domestic or sexual violence, and much more. They'll also just listen if all you need is someone to talk to.
The Cumbee Center helps people who have experienced domestic or sexual violence.
They can:
help you find counseling and support
go with you to the hospital after an assault
put you in touch with resources and information
and much more.
AYE offers a lot of youth programming and clubs, mostly through Aiken public schools.
You can also sign up for their free Career Readiness Program, which is held every Wednesday evening. You'll learn skills like resume building, good workplace communication, and more.
Sex and relationships are tough! Fact Forward can help you figure out how to talk to your partner or your parents about sex, learn about your health care rights as a teen, understand your birth control options, and much more, all in teen-friendly language.
Teens have the right to confidential health and reproductive care and information!
You can find health care services at all South Carolina public health clinics, including:
Free or low-cost birth control
Pregnancy testing
Sexually transmitted illness (STI) screenings
Emergency contraception
By SC law, public health clinics can only provide "sex ed" on abstinence.
Anderson County and Spartanburg County also have special teen-only "The Point" clinics.
