Maine Community Coordinator List
"Who is a Community Coordinator?
A Community Coordinator is someone who works directly with one or more Maine communities and/or Wabanaki Tribes to support climate, energy, and/or community resilience or related work. The common, defining characteristic is these are people working with communities to directly advance the communities' climate, energy, community, resilience or related goals.
Some coordinators may be part of an established program (e.g., the Community Resilience Partnership Regional Coordinators), group (e.g., the Wabanaki Sustainable Energy Team, which developed the Wabanaki Sustainable Energy Coordinator position), or organization (e.g., A Climate To Thrive; Center for an Ecology-Based Economy), or they may be hired directly by a local government or committee (e.g., South Portland Sustainability Coordinator)
Coordinators may have different areas of focus; for example, some may provide grant-writing support; others may work closely with a community from project ideation to completion in a certain topic area (e.g., energy, storm water management, etc); and there are many other roles coordinators may play."
