PROTOCOL ON ESTABLISHING CLIMATE-RESILIENT VILLAGES
A climate-resilient village is a village where the farmers and fishers have the capacity to withstand the impacts of the chaning climate. The AMIA Village of the Department of Agriculture (DA) exemplifies a climate-resilient village. The AMIA Villages are established and expanded in different parts of the country through the Adaptation and Mitigation Initiative in Agriculture (AMIA) Program which is the flagship climate change program of DA.

Guides in Establishing AMIA Village
The Adaptation and Mitigation Initiatives in Agriculture (AMIA) Village is a site-specific approach that aims to reduce negative impacts brought about by various climate hazards. It provides alternatives, both adaptation and mitigation measures, to build-up resiliency in the agricultural sector through the introduction of innovations that are practical and sustainable.
