Capstone Project

My Capstone Project and the Scope of my lessons is to implement Growth Mindset with Meditative techniques such as Deep Breathing ( Balloon and Ocean), The Mind's Eye Chakra and mental imagery along with Tai Chi to help combat, reduce and appease Math Anxiety among students.

My Capstone consists of a Unit Plan of 10 lessons. Each lesson was implemented over a 3 month period from September 2018 to November 2018. Each lesson is my verbatim script. At the end of each lesson you will find a reflection on how the lesson went. Some of the lessons were done once, others were done multiple times ( see Introduction for Reader in Google Doc for implementation of lessons). Each lesson was constructed around having an in-depth conversation with the students. Though my lessons were catered towards 6th graders, they can be used for any grade level, predominately K-8.

I decided to create a Google Doc to hold my Unit Plan. Inside the Google Doc below you will find the following:
