WHAT IS RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is crucial in both academic and professional settings. It provides a systematic framework for conducting research, ensuring that it is rigorous and reliable. By following proper research methods, researchers can gather and analyze data effectively, leading to credible findings. It also promotes ethical conduct, efficient resource utilization, knowledge advancement, and evidence-based decision making.
Capturing Different Perspectives: Qualitative research helps us understand the depth and complexity of human experiences, while quantitative research focuses on numerical data and patterns. By knowing both approaches, we can gain insights from people's stories and beliefs (qualitative) as well as analyze large-scale data for trends and relationships (quantitative). This allows us to look at research questions from different angles and get a more complete understanding.
Choosing the Right Methods: Each approach requires different methods. Qualitative research might involve interviews, observations, or analyzing texts, while quantitative research uses surveys, experiments, or statistical analysis. When we understand both approaches, we can select the most suitable methods for our research questions, resources, and desired outcomes.

It uses structured methods like surveys and experiments to gather data from a representative sample. Statistical analysis is used to interpret the data, allowing researchers to make objective and generalizable findings. Quantitative research aims for objectivity, large sample sizes, and statistical significance. It quantifies data, tests hypotheses, and explores cause-and-effect relationships. The findings are often replicable, allowing for comparison across studies. Quantitative research provides insights into numerical patterns and is commonly used in fields where precise measurements and statistical analysis are important.
