Failure to provide a sound theory to explain the relationship between variables often lead to rejection of paper. This video focuses on this very issue. Starting with the concept of theory, the video reviews four assignments where students were tasked to explain the relationship between the two variables of their choice based on the theory without taking support from empirical evidence available in the literature. Four (4) assignments are reviewed and critical mistakes evaluated when scholars try to explain the relationship between variables using a theory.
