There are several ways you can ventilate plastic containers. In this article we will walk you through the best and easiest methods of doing so.
One way to ventilate plastic containers is to melt holes on the sides of your tub with a soldering iron. All you need for this method is a soldering iron and your plastic container. Once your soldering iron is hot enough to melt plastic, simply poke holes along the sides of your container. As an alternative, if you have a drill and drill bits, you can drill holes on the sides of the container instead of poking holes with a soldering iron.
Another way to ventilate plastic containers is to cut out a strip of plastic from the lid of the container with a soldering iron, and melt screen onto the bottom of the lid (see photos below). For this method you need a soldering iron, some screen, and your plastic container. The first step is to slowly melt/cut a section out of the plastic lid. Next, cut out the screen to the desired size and use the soldering iron to melt the screen onto the lid. The last step is to let the lid cool off and you are all set!
A third way to ventilate plastic containers is to drill a circle hole into the plastic and screen the hole. For this method you will need a standard drill, a hole saw bit, a hot glue gun, and a plastic container. The process is simple: drill a hole into the front of the container (put your drill in forward until the hole starter has gone through the plastic, then put the drill into reverse for the rest of the time), and glue the screen onto the container. One benefit of this method is that you can stack cages on top of each other without blocking the ventilation.
These are some of the best methods to ventilate plastic containers, but you can get creative and make your own way to ventilate your plastic containers.
