1. What is the training schedule of RKBD?
ANS: Every Friday & Sunday: 3:00PM – 5:00PM (General)
2. Who can join RKBD?
ANS: As long as you have the interest to learn the ways of Karatedo, feel free to join! Minimum age required is 5 years and above to enrol.
3. How to join as a new RKBD karateka member?
ANS: Please fill in the registration form and print it prior visiting the dojo or training venue during our training sessions. Please contact at the provided contact numbers to let us know of your interest in joining RKBD.
4. I have practiced Shotokan Karate before but it has been a long time since I last trained. Can I still register and wear my previous belt ranking?
ANS: Yes, you can still register at RKBD. As for belt ranking, it is subject to the Chief Instructor's approval.
5. I practice a different style of Karate other than Shotokan. Can I still join RKBD?
ANS: Yes, you can still join RKBD but you may not retain your belt ranking of the particular style you practiced. You will start from white belt since Shotokan would be different from the style you practiced.
6. Where is your training venue/dojo located?
ANS: Menglait Sports Hall. Please refer to the Contact section for more info.
7. Is there a fee for each training? How do you charge for your training?
ANS: $20 for annual membership fee and license fee (Renewable every January).
8. How much is the grading fee?
ANS: The grading fee differs based on your kyu/dan ranking that you are about to upgrade to. Please consult the Chief Instructor or Secretary General for more information.
