Dear Friends of RENATE,
On 11 March, RENATE once again had the privilege of preparing and presenting at the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70). This year’s theme resonates strongly with the values and mission of RENATE: “Ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls, including by promoting inclusive and equitable legal systems, eliminating discriminatory laws, policies and practices, and addressing structural barriers.”
At the heart of this theme lies a clear and vital principle: the full and effective participation of women in public life and decision-making—together with the elimination of all forms of violence against women and girls—is essential for achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls.
As advocates for change, attentive listeners to the stories of victims, researchers, and an awareness-raising NGO, RENATE shared our experiences, our plans, and our hopes for the next steps ahead. We do so within a fragmenting Europe, where our faith remains our resolve, our strength, and our shield.
Below you will find a breakdown of the webinar presentations from the event, together with accompanying slides (where available).
We invite you to take two simple but important actions:
Watch the recordings, particularly if you were unable to attend the event.
Share them with others who may be interested in RENATE’s work and future initiatives.
Human trafficking is a difficult reality to confront, yet the more people who become engaged in the struggle against this growing crime, the stronger our collective response will be. Our task is to continue reaching out and bringing more voices into this vital work.
We are happy to respond to any queries or discuss any of the issues raised in the presentations below.
