Here, I share reports that resulted from work with international organizations such as IOM, UNHCR, and IFC.
The project was developed by the International Organization for Migration (IOM South Sudan) in research partnership with Duke University to create the Fragility Index. I led the data analysis team within the project and created an interactive dashboard with survey results to share with stakeholders, including a presentation at the IOM office in Washington, DC.
This multidimensional tool measures community-level vulnerability across economic, security, environmental, human, political/legal, and societal dimensions to inform evidence-based transitional and recovery programming in South Sudan.
The report draws on household survey data from multiple counties to map patterns of fragility and provide insights for more effective targeting and coordination of humanitarian, development, and resilience efforts. Its findings highlight localized needs and structural drivers of fragility, offering actionable recommendations for tailored interventions by governments, donors, and implementing partners. The Index aims to support more equitable and efficient allocation of resources and transition planning in fragile settings by integrating high-quality data into planning, monitoring, and evaluation systems.
The project was developed by the International Advisory Services team at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. I was part of their team and responsible for coordinating, designing and implementing a survey aimed at:
(i) understanding the barriers to financial services faced by migrants and refugees in Brazil
(ii) identifying key necessities and aspirations of different migrant segments in terms of financial products.
We reached over 1000 survey responses with close collaboration from the UNHCR and the local network of partner organizations. Using a cluster analysis I identified 10 different profiles of migrants and refugees that are underserved by financial institutions in Brazil.
