As the world continues to navigate through a global pandemic, working remotely has become a part of the new normal. The recent months saw an increase in the sales of loungewear, as many individuals work daily in the comfort of their own home. However, they are still expected to look ready and presentable during video conferences.
Dressing up for online meetings can be tricky especially when there seemingly is no need to get dressed. To look great on video conferences, wear a top with a sleeve, says Remi Landau. This will allow others in the meeting to focus on one’s face instead of their body. Pick a top that’s a bit wide, but not too low. This gives enough neck between the top and the chin.
Individuals who are not fans of dressing up can throw on a blazer over their pajama mix. When pulling off this look, be sure to smoothen your shirt to prevent it from looking puffed. The world needs a little color. Toss in a bit of color into the day by wearing a colored top that gives the impression that one is truly prepared for the meeting.
Remi Landau mentions that accessorizing makes one look put-together. Look for a necklace that matches the day’s top; earrings that steal the spotlight; a bracelet or a watch that gives the impression that one takes online meetings seriously; and rings, which are welcome as well. Dressing up for an online meeting can be fun and easy when done right.
