The insurances listed below are not an exhaustive list, just the most common. Please contact our office with specific questions.

Comprehensive eye exams are our routine vision exams which include refraction, eye pressure testing, ocular muscle testing, color vision screening, retinal screening, etc.
A refraction is the test to get a finalized glasses prescription. The doctor puts you behind the instrument shown above and demonstrates lens changes. They usually ask "Which is better 1...or...2?".
In-Network Insurances: Medicare, Medicare Replacements, Cigna, Encore, United Healthcare, Most Medicaid plans
Medical eye exams allow us to manage care for ocular conditions like Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Amblyopia, Diabetes, Cataracts, Keratoconus, Dry Eye Disease, etc.
A retinal screening is the preliminary health screening our optometrists use to observe the retina for any early signs of ocular conditions. It is part of our routine exam. Examples of such conditions include retinal tears/detachments, cholesterol deposits, diabetic changes, etc.
Contact lens fittings allow our doctors to finalize a prescription for contacts. Fittings includes time with a doctor to discuss brand options, a class with a technician that teaches insertion and removal of lenses, a discussion about lens hygiene, a trial set of contact lens, and a follow up appointment. We fit patients for soft/hard contact lenses, scleral lens, and for myopia management. Prescriptions are valid for 1 year and should be renewed yearly.
In-Network vs Out-of-Network Insurance
In-Network means we are contracted to accept their vision/medical benefits. Out-of-Network means we are not contracted so we cannot accept their benefits. If your insurance is Out-of-Network you'll be expected to pay the full cost at your appointment, BUT we can fax an Out-of-Network form to the company to assist you with reimbursement.
