My work varies on all types of medium I use and what my subjects are. I like to do mixed media, 3D, and 2D art. I like to make things that are not real or seem like they could be real. I used still life for one painting and added my own fantasy element to it. I also like to use things that are normally considered garbage to make some mixed-media pieces. The garbage I use the most often is cardboard and bottle caps. I also want to work more on digital art. I am good at making 3D art digitally, also using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Now I am learning how to use a drawing app, I have to make 2D digital art.
In my work “Hidden World,” I used a still life reference for the shapes and then added my own little mice to it with some sketches. The mice were not from a still life. In “Acid Eye,” I used mixed media. One item I used was cardboard, and I covered it with some magazines to make it stand out more. I could not have made those parts physically stand out without the cardboard. For “Fluffy Beats,” I used a still life I made, but set it up to look like it could have come from a fantasy world, even though those items are real, and I do own a stuffed dragon. When I sketch, I use references of people, but also add my fantasy element to them, whether it is wings, powers, or being on fire. I like to make my human sketches seem human when they are not human.
I am an artist who can do many different things, and who does not like to stick to one form of media to make art. I love that. I love making the art I want to and being able to change how I make my art and even mixing different techniques together.
